Starting August 1st 2021 Costa Rica will stop requiring a health insurance policy for minors under 18 and for adults fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
Requirements:
• Having received an approved vaccine: Moderna, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, or Johnson & Johnson
• The last dose (if applies) must have been administered at least 14 days before entering Costa Rica
• Proof must be demonstrated with an official document including full name, date of each dose, formula, and the lot number
For U.S. visitors, the Covid-19 vaccination record card will be suffice
The Health Pass continues mandatory for everyone entering the country. This must be filled out during the 72 hours before arriving in Costa Rica. Trip insurance is mandatory for unvaccinated adults.
